Reveal a clue rather than the whole answer

Begin with the room and the first encounter. Distinguish what can be observed from what the player actually knows. A small inconsistency is enough to invite a question without immediately resolving the reason they are there.

Keep discoveries consistent

Record the facts the scene has established and avoid replacing them silently in a later reply. Clarify whether a new statement is a clue, a belief held by a character or something the player has verified. That distinction gives later choices a meaningful basis.
