Managing your Kyns

A character library is easier to use when each Kyn has a distinct identity and purpose.

Development and publication are separate

A private Kyn is for your own use; a public Kyn can enter character discovery for other adults. Neither choice makes a biography a suitable place for passwords, contact details or someone else's identifying information.

Before you publish, read what happens to a public Kyn after the creator account closes. Do not assume an account-deletion request is also a way to withdraw public work.

Change the instruction that needs changing

When replies drift, inspect the greeting, background and behavior instructions individually. An appearance edit should not need to redefine the character's motivation. Several rules that contradict one another can be harder to follow than one clear instruction.

A world or utility Kyn needs its own job description. Distinguish the narrator's task, the shared setting and the identities of people who speak in the scene.

Make projects recognizable at a glance

Use names and short premises that distinguish one experiment from another. Keep track of the facts you are testing and the setup selected for an existing thread. Your signed-in account determines which personal projects and saved conversations belong together.
